Mosaics are a fun and easy way to add a splash of color and unique design element to your home and garden. This versatile and creative art form dates back thousands of years to Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC and has been widely used in architecture and as a decorative art ever since.
Mosaic artists use small pieces of glass, stone, or tile, known as tesserae, to create decorative art pieces, patterns on walls, floors, walkways, and ceilings. Some mosaics are intricately detailed and can take many years to complete. Others can be completed in just a few hours.
Workshop will provide an overview of the basic tools and techniques used in traditional mosaics along with step-by-step guided instructions and hands-on tutorials.
All tools and supplies included.
Max. 10 students
