Come join us for a fun filled day of discovery and creating mosaics!  For our project we will be creating a "Welcome" sign with a dragonfly motif. No previous experience necessary!  Minimum age 16 years old (18 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian).

The workshop will run from 9:00am to 4:30 pm with a short break for lunch (bring a brown bag lunch). At the end of the day, you'll leave with your very own personalized project piece!

Mosaics are a fun and easy way to add a splash of color and unique design element to your home and garden.  This versatile and creative art form dates back thousands of years to Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC and has been widely used in architecture and as a decorative art ever since.

Mosaic artists use small pieces of glass, stone, or tile, known as tesserae, to create decorative art pieces, patterns on walls, floors, walkways, and ceilings.  Some mosaics are intricately detailed and can take many years to complete.  Others can be completed in just a few hours.

Workshop will provide an overview of the basic tools and techniques used in traditional mosaics along with step-by-step guided instructions and hands-on tutorials.
