Dawn Usher-Schlich

I graduated from Gordon College with an AA degree in General Business and Georgia Southwestern University with a BBA degree in Accounting & Computer Science.

I have over 32 years of experience in Accounting & Budgeting.  In my 30-year career with state government I worked as an Accountant, Budget Analyst, Project Consultant for the Statewide Accounting Systems, Accounting Manager and Director of Finance & Accounting.  In those 30 years I worked for Public Safety, Department of Labor, Department of Administrative Services, Technical & Adult Colleges, Department of Banking & Finance and lastly the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

My husband Bob and I moved to the island from Atlanta in August of 2016 just in time to evacuate because of the hurricane!  We fell in love with St. Simons in the early 90’s when I would attend work conferences at Sea Palms.  Over many years of coming to the island for work and vacation, we knew we would end up living here.
