BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Elizabeth F. LeSueur, a native Virginian, has been coming to St. Simons Island, GA for over 36 years, and finally moved permanently in 2010. She is a graduate of St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA, Briarcliff College, Briarcliff Manor, NY and Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, VA.
As an Art Historian and Museologist, she was employed by The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts as the Loans Registrar and Exhibitions Specialist. Next she was the Registrar for the Collection at Colonial Williamsburg. She later returned to her family business and served as Director of Marketing and Advertising for LeSueur-Richmond Slate Corp., and Buckingham Virginia Slate Corp. She was with R. E. Crawford and Associates as an appraiser of Fine Arts and Antiques, then returned to The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and was the Coordinator of The Collectors' Circle, the Museum's oldest support group. While in Virginia, she belonged to many organizations, and was the Vice President of Historic Buckingham and was on the Board of The E. T. Atkinson Museum of Hampden-Sydney College.
While living on St. Simons Island, she belongs to The Coastal Georgia Historical Society, Golden Isles Arts and Humanities, The Land Trust, The Symphony Society, The CassinaGarden Club, where she is a Board Member, and she serves on the Board of Glynn Visual Arts. She enjoys traveling and volunteering.
