Holding space: glimpses of the divine
art by randy siegel
Glynn Visual Arts (GVA) presents a multi-sensory exhibition blending paintings and sculptural works with conceptual and performance art by local artist and author Randy Siegel. Siegel's art focuses on personal and spiritual growth and has been described as “postcards from the psyche.”
Influenced by his love for outsider art, Jungian psychology, and spirituality, Siegel delves into the subconscious to challenge viewers to think, feel, and perhaps remember something of themselves once forgotten. A communal prayer receptacle, in the form of a nostalgic vintage gum machine, will encourage attendees to share expressions of gratitude and praise much like at a public prayer wall.
Opening Reception Thursday, July 30, 5:30-7:00p.m. Free and open to the public.
